The Tirelli atelier in Rome, renowned for its significant contributions to cinematic costume design and nicknamed the “Oscar tailor’s shop,” has been instrumental in creating costumes for films that have won 17 Academy Awards for Best Costume Design since its establishment in 1964.

For nearly six decades, the Tirelli atelier has woven costumes for internationally acclaimed films, earning it the nickname the “Oscar tailor’s shop.” Recently, its collaboration with designers for Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” has been nominated for an Oscar, highlighting the shop's continued relevance and excellence in the industry. The atelier's success is attributed to its dedication to hand-cut and hand-sewn creations, amassing over 300,000 costumes in its collection.
