GFT is an independent cinema in the centre of Glasgow. This means that it is not part of a chain but programmed and run by people in Glasgow. GFT is the only cinema in Glasgow that books its own films and it is committed to offering a wide range of films for all sections of the community. A refreshing alternative to the mainstream, GFT shows new cinema from around the world, American independent movies, documentaries and classic films. GFT is also home to the new Glasgow Film Festival which takes place in February.
